On this private 7-day tour you travel in your own vehicle with an English-speaking driver, at your own pace and with stops wherever you like. You sleep in charming riads and kasbahs and spend 3 nights in a Berber camp among the dunes.
The route: Marrakech → Tizi n'Tichka → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Skoura → Kelaat M'Gouna → Dades Gorges → Tinghir → Todra Gorges → Tinejdad → Erfoud → Merzouga → Khamlia → Merzouga → Rissani → Merzouga → Rissani → Alnif → N'Kob → Agdz → Ouarzazate → Tizi n'Tichka → Marrakech.

1Day 1Marrakech: discover the Red City
- Guided tour of the medina: Koutoubia mosque, Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs.
- Souks and the Ben Youssef madrasa.
- Majorelle Garden (optional).
- Sunset on Jemaa el-Fna square.
- Overnight in a riad in Marrakech.
2Day 2Marrakech – Tizi n'Tichka – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
- Pick-up at your riad or hotel and drive over the High Atlas via the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m).
- Visit of the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Ouarzazate, the 'Hollywood of Africa', and the Skoura palm grove.
- Road of the Thousand Kasbahs through the Valley of Roses (Kelaat M'Gouna).
- Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad in the Dades Valley.
3Day 3Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga
- Walk through the Todra Gorges, with rock walls 300 metres high.
- Tinghir and its large palm grove.
- Drive on through Tinejdad and Erfoud, the fossil town.
- Camel ride at sunset through the Erg Chebbi dunes to the camp.
- Berber dinner, drums around the fire and a night in a desert tent.
4Day 4Merzouga: a full day in the Erg Chebbi desert
- Sunrise over the dunes and breakfast at the camp.
- 4×4 excursion around Erg Chebbi.
- Visit a nomad family and share tea in their tent.
- Gnawa music in Khamlia village and a stop at Dayet Srji lake.
- Sunset on the dunes and a second night in the desert.
5Day 5Merzouga: adventure in the dunes
- Relaxed morning at the camp.
- Sandboarding on the highest dunes.
- Optional quad bike or buggy ride around Erg Chebbi.
- Rissani market and kasbahs.
- Night in the desert under the stars.
6Day 6Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – N'Kob – Agdz
- Sunrise on the dunes and camel ride back.
- Rissani, the ancient caravan town of Sijilmassa.
- Alnif, land of fossils, and the Jbel Saghro range.
- N'Kob, the village of 45 kasbahs.
- Overnight in Agdz, in the Draa Valley.
7Day 7Agdz – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
- Views over the Draa palm grove and Jbel Kissane.
- Drive through Ouarzazate.
- Back over the High Atlas and the Tizi n'Tichka pass.
- Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon and drop-off at your accommodation.
- End of the tour at your hotel, riad, the airport or the station.

Absolutely. We can add or remove days, change the order of the stages or choose other hotels.
Is the camel ride included?
Yes, the camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes to the camp is included – one camel per person.
What is the desert camp like?
You can choose a standard camp or a luxury camp with private bathroom. Both include dinner, breakfast and music around the fire.
